I know it is unusual for someone to write his own biography, but I feel that the relationship between
me, the photographer, and you is a very personable one. You are allowing and trusting me to be a part
of a very sacred event in your life.

I remember as a child I was always drawn to beautiful images that captured unique moments in time
and that they held more meaning to me than words or movies ever could. I especially liked candid,
photojournalistic images that captured "that magical moment". So with this passion of mine I deve-
loped my skills and graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Ironi-
cally I abandoned photojournalism to pursue a career shooting commercial still lifes and have shot
for clients such as Disney, Nokia, Carl's Jr., The Grove, Pacific Theaters, and Belkin. While this disci-
pline helped me develop an eye and master lighting, technical and compositional elements of photog-
raphy, it wasn’t until the birth of my daughter, Sophia, did I find my roots again.

It's a very liberating feeling for me to be combining my knowledge and instincts of photography while
capturing the spontaneous, uncontrolled, once in a lifetime, precious moments of her life. I found
myself doing the very thing that inspired me to be a photographer in the first place. In fact, the
process of capturing the moment is so endearing to me that I brought my camera with me to all future
weddings I’d attended in hopes of capturing "that magical moment" for friends and families to enjoy.
The merger of my talents along with my passion and ability to story tell is what has allowed me to
create the images in the galleries of this website.

I have often been told that my photographs are very endearing, romantic, and beautiful and that I
capture the essence of the day in a very vivid and unique way. It is my goal to share my skills and
passion with you on your most cherished occasion. There are few things more satisfying for me than
to be apart of and to capture images that will be remembered by you and your loved ones for genera-
tions to come. Thank you for the consideration.

Sincerely,
Allen King
